About Us

EAS Engineering, Inc. is a Florida environmental consulting firm specializing in wetland regulatory permitting. We represent landowners, developers, and their attorneys in front of the agencies that decide what can be built and where — the South Florida Water Management District, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and Miami-Dade County RER and DERM.

Most of our work begins early, before a site plan is fixed. That is when environmental constraints are cheapest to solve: a wetland line confirmed at the outset, a listed species issue identified before layout, a mitigation strategy scoped before it drives the pro forma. By the time a permit application is filed, the outcome has usually already been decided by how well the site was understood at the start.

Our Approach

We do not treat permitting as paperwork. A permit application is an argument — that the impacts are what we say they are, that the avoidance and minimization are real, and that the mitigation is adequate. Our job is to make that argument well, with defensible field data behind it, and to hold the line where the regulations do not require more than the applicant is offering.

We are equally direct about the reverse. If a site has a problem that permitting will not solve, our clients hear it from us early, in writing, while they still have options.
